In the vibrant and competitive world of marketing, one university student is making significant waves coordinating activities for major brands in Kingston. Meet Mario Hudson, the Special Projects Coordinator at Campus Elite Jamaica, a rising star in marketing. Mario’s journey took hold at the University of the West Indies (UWI) Mona campus, where his exceptional talent quickly caught the attention of Campus Elite Jamaica. Under their guidance, Mario has been instrumental in planning and coordinating some of the most talked-about activations for top brands like Fireball and the Jamaica Rum Festival.
Bringing The Heat With Fireball
Mario started with Campus Elite assisting with the shuttle service for weekly college series RR Wnzdz at RIBBIZ. His tenacity and efficiency quick caught the attention of the Sandré, Campus Elite’s CEO. Mario was then granted the opportunity to start work with Fireball, the iconic cinnamon whisky brand that has taken the world by storm. Campus Elite being tasked with assisting to elevate the brand’s presence in Jamaica, Mario was integral in coordinating a series of immersive activations that captured the spirit and energy of Fireball.

From coordinating brand placements at fiery pop-up events to orchestrating full sampling campaigns, Mario’s efforts have not only increased brand visibility within the college demography but also fostered a deep connection with the Gen Z demographic. His knack for following and executing detailed instructions and coordinating teams has been key his successful coordination of the Campus Elite Fireball Summer Campaign “ Heat in the Street”

Jamaica Rum Festival with Campus Elite
Mario’s prowess extends beyond whisky, as seen in his impactful contributions to the recently concluded Jamaica Rum Festival Road Trip Activation with Appleton Estate Rum Festival in association with Reggae Sumfest Blitz. This celebration of the island’s rich rum heritage has grown exponentially, and thanks Mario’s great planning and coordination university students were able to not only become aware of the event but participate and indulge in its unique offerings.
A Gen Z Mindset at Campus Elite
What sets Mario apart is his innate understanding of the Gen Z audience. Growing up in the digital age, he recognizes the power of authentic engagement and the importance of creating meaningful experiences.
Mario’s dedicated mindset and relentless drive have earned him accolades from his peers. As the Special Projects Coordinator at Campus Elite Jamaica, he continues to push boundaries and set new benchmarks in coordinating activities for university students.

With a portfolio that already boasts collaborations with major brands and successful event activations, Mario Hudson is undoubtedly a name to watch. His journey is a testament to the impact young talent can have when given the right opportunities and guidance.
Mario is a 20 year old Wolmer’s old boy who placed twice islandwide in Cape Economics and is now perusing a Bachelors of Economics at the University of The West Indies. Apart from economics, Mario has a passion and skill for operations management and currently holds the position of Student Coordinator for Special Events at Campus Elite. Mario also has an entrepreneurial spirit as he is the owner of a business, ‘CahStopCap’ which seeks to enhance the fashion scene in Jamaica by selling hats and reminding customers that “You Define Your Swag”. Additionally he is a music lover with an interest in the entertainment industry, whether through planning or managing events. Mario is also a partner for a party, ‘Charge’ which has hosted 3 successful events since 2021. All in All Mario strives to be a successful businessman.
